Convergence to the social media of the newspapers of Latin America


Abstract:

The convergence of the mass media to new digital and social platforms is imminent, already be for the acceptance that these platforms have in the citizenship or because the mass media should have adapted to the needs and requirements of the users to recover and to increase the hearing, which little by little they were losing. The present Research has as aim determine the convergence of the Latin-American mass media to the social media, understood not only as the presence in these platforms, but explore the repercussion that the diaries of the region have in the social media and to determine the behavior of the hearings in the generation of public opinion in the social environments, suitable spaces to promote the interaction and participation activates of the users in the generation of contents. The research determines that the mass media of Latin America migrated to the social media, nevertheless, they did not adapt to the behavior of the users and influenced to support the processes of production and consumption of information traditions and unidirectional.
