Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development: a relational study based on the intentionality of action of the consumer and the entrepreneur of SMEs
Abstract:
This research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the livestock sector of the province of Tungurahua, as a vector of sustainable development. The main objective was to test the premise that companies fulfill their (1) economic, (2) ethical, (3) legal, and (4) philanthropic responsibilities from a systematic process (planning, organizing, and monitoring) to achieve sustainable development. For this, theoretical and empirical methods were used, which served to analyze several scientific currents, starting from general to substantive theories, estimating the measurement construct. For their validation and reliability, data collection instruments applied to the unit of analysis (livestock companies), which have a limited sustainable development, were developed due to the non-fulfillment of responsibilities established by law.
