The leptospirosis in hogs are manifested through reproductive losses. The endemic infection little cause clinical evidences but a inmunológic disequilibrium can be reflected in abortions, filthy dead persons inflamed boils, filthy weak or of low viability and infertilitad in horsehairs. It considers to him the Leptospira, the cause of more important abortion in hogs due to that constitutes a bacterial agent; it has a high opinion of oneself that 3 to 6 % of the abortions in an endemic herd can be caused for this illness. The present work has as objective evaluate the cost-benefit of the control of vectors to decrease the transmission the leptospirosis in hogs. For the analysis of cost, benefit carried out a comparison in the control of vectors in the transmission of leptospirosis in hogs against a hypothesis of not, control of vectors, in the period understanded between August - September 2016 and February - March 2017 in areas of rural of the Andean region and specially in equator. In the study considered the direct costs and the indirect and intangible benefits, to standardize to the currency of American dollar by using the parity of buying power.
