Digital competence of students at Catholic university of Santiago de Guayaquil

Abstract:

TThis research analyzes the degree of digital and interpersonal competence for information search and processing of students of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil (Ecuador) is analyzed. The study is approached from a descriptive and quantitative methodology. The results show that students are considered proficient in Internet browsing with different browsers and using different search engines. On the contrary, the results are significantly lower in categories such as the use of QR codes to disseminate information and work with images using tools and/or applications of social software.
