El estrés laboral y el desempeño de los empleados del Centro Comercial COMECSA del cantón La Libertad, provincia de Santa Elena.

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to determine the influence of work stress on the performance at the employees of the Comecsa Shopping Center in La Libertad Canton, Province of Santa Elena. Nowadays there is an increase in competition and demands for the organizations. A descriptive study is carried out, the research techniques to be applied in the present investigation are the interview and th e survey, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Interviews are conducted with the sales supervisors and head of collection and legal area with the purpose of identifying the company's processes and policies. These variables, work stress and performance, are studied in a sample of fifty-seven workers. A questionnaire for surveys for the total of the population of the commercial area and collections of the institution is designed with 25 questions with likert scale to know their levels of stress in the company. In addition a questionnaire for the sales supervisos, is proposed with 10 questions to measure the work performance of the personnel. When analyzing the results, it is concluded that the values of the corrected waste are greater than the tabular ones, which is why stress negatively influences the work performance, that is to say, less stress increases the labor performance both in the sales department and in the collections department. At the end of the work, it is proposed to implement an occupational break room, to reduce the levels of work stress of the employees at the commercial "Comecsa S.A" in the canton, La Libertad Province of Santa Elena.
