An estimate of the homophobic in the future teachers of secondary education
Abstract:
This paper aimed at measuring for the first time homophobia levels (inter alia) among Secondary Education teachers in Spain. The sample was composed of 214 students (n=214) of the University's Master's Degree in Teacher Training: Secondary and Upper Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching (MFPS). For this purpose, a survey validated by a committee of experts and a pilot study were conducted. The findings suggest that 20 % of prospective teachers showed a homophobic attitude, especially at cognitive and affective levels.
