Ethics in educational research

Abstract:

Ethics is a factor present in any field of human endeavor, which is frequently violated for different reasons; reality from which the context of educational research does not escape. The present descriptive study of the bibliographic revision type has the purpose of reflecting on ethics in the scientific-investigative pedagogical process as a didactic alternative in the training of future education professionals; it was systematized through historical-logical, hermeneutical and content analysis methods. Among the main findings, ethics as a social construct that regulates the behavior of individuals in a given context as a result of moral praxis that responds to a specific historical moment stands out. Educational research is based on the principles of, respect, beneficence and justice. The ethical failures present in educational research are given in problems with the participants, in the development of the work, and those of the researcher; as well as, for the plagiarism and use of false data. In conclusion, the teacher training process should be characterized by the use of scientific research as a theoretical-methodological tool that favors the promotion of ethical principles and values.
