Evaluación de un equipo directivo : caso del Comité de Coordinación Asistencial Docente del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, de la ciudad de Cuenca, Azuay. 2019.

Abstract:

A management team was evaluated, taking as a case study the Coordinating Committee of the Hospital and Teaching of Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, comparing its composition with the current norm and determining its level of functioning. A non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out, using fact sheets to collect information on institutional records and the Scale for Evaluation of the Performance of the Management Team was applied to the members of the committee. As a result, only 55.6% of the members fulfill functions according to the current norm (CI: 38.5 - 72.61); On the other hand, in addition to the Committee, there are "subcommittees", not considered in the standard. The reliability of the applied scale gave a result of 0.948 according to Cronbach's alpha. The average score was 76.11 (CI: 71.69 - 80.53), for an average level of functioning (p <0.05). The confidence, organizational efficiency and sense dimensions contributed to this level of functioning (p <0.05), unlike the inefficacy dimension (p> 0.05). There were no significant differences in the score, according to gender, institution of membership, or function within the committee. In conclusion, the composition of the ComCAD of the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso does not correspond to what is established in the current norm and its average functioning level expresses the need for improvement. The periodic evaluation, internal regulations and the amendment to the current norm are proposed as coadjuvants for the improvement of the operating conditions of the evaluated management team.
