Extracción supercrítica de compuestos bioactivos antioxidantes presentes en la cáscara de chirimoya (Annona cherimola).

Abstract:

Cherimoya (Annona cherimola) is a tropical fruit, with high content of natural antioxidants. The aim of this research was to extract the antioxidant compounds from cherimoya peels using supercritical fluid extraction. The SC-CO2 operational parameters, temperature and pressure were varied between 35 to 45 °C and 10 to 200 bar, respectively. The extracts were analyzed by quantification of total phenolics and antioxidant capacity. The highest extraction yield was 1.91% (w/w) at 40 °C and 200 bar, the total phenolics concentration was 8.91 mg GAE/g at 40 °C and 100 bar, antioxidant activity by ABTS was 188.5 μM TE/g ES at 35 °C and 100 bar and 42.47 μM DPPH TE/g at 35 °C and 200 bar. At the experimental conditions, pressure and temperature, the solubility of the extracted compounds was not related to the capacity of SC-CO2 extraction. The results of antioxidant capacity would encourage to intensify the studies in the application in food or pharmaceutical industries such as value-added natural extracts. Keywords: Supercritical Extraction, supercritical carbon dioxide, Annona cherimola, cherimoya peels, antioxidant capacity.
