La discriminación y el derecho al trabajo de las personas con discapacidad de Síndrome de Down de la Fundación Sueños Comunitarios en el año 2021.
Abstract:
The present work has in its axis people with Down Syndrome disabilities linked to the right to work that any person has or should have in a civilized society. It is intended to show how, after so much time of humanity, divergences persist, not of ideas, which would be normal for coexistence in society, but in terms of categorization or classification of people by natural conditions they live, such as disability. Thus, the hypothesis of the topic is that labor discrimination of people with Down Syndrome of the Fundación Sueños Comunitarios possibly affects their right to work. The objective is to identify, through a documentary review, the discrimination of this specific priority group that belongs to the Sueños Comunitario Foundation. This includes a historical and legal review to know the laws that protect people with disabilities, as well as the evolution of their rights. The diagnosis was carried out using as instruments the interview of the people who collaborate in the Foundation in reference to the labor possibilities that this particular group has; the focus group with the representatives of the main holders of this right to tell us about their experiences. The approach is qualitative, its purpose is applied, therefore the interviews are in-depth, with the participation of a labor law professional and an expert who provides her contribution from a psychological perspective. The research is descriptive, of transversal depth, focused on a certain period of time. There is a specific sample of people with Down Syndrome disability of the Fundación Sueños Comunitarios.
