Musical pedagogy as a methodological motivation strategy at the initial level


Abstract:

One of the biggest challenges of initial education is to awaken the interest for learning in students, for this we uses different didactic alternatives. This descriptive study of bibliographical revision type has the purpose of analyzing the importance of Musical Pedagogy as a methodological strategy to develop motivation and enhance cognitive and socioemotional skills in schoolchildren of the initial level. It was based on the historical-logical, hermeneutical, content analysis and analytical-synthetic methods. Among the most significant findings are the consideration of Musical Pedagogy at the initial level as a fundamental tool to develop intrinsic motivation in infants; early musical training potentially develops intellectual, linguistic, emotional, social, and psychomotor skills. The intrinsic and extrinsic motivation achieved through strategies involving playful and musical elements encourage children to integrate and actively participate in the teaching-learning process and the musical education and training of teachers at the initial education level is fundamental to be able to implement Musical Pedagogy.
