Wendy Pfeffer has written books and articles on medieval Occitan (Provençal) literature, specifically the troubadours. She serves as editor-in-chief of Tenso, the only periodical in North America devoted to Occitan language and literature, for which she also prepares an annual bibliography of publications relating to Occitan literature.
