A descriptive analysis of anglicisms used in Ecuadorian Magazines
Abstract:
The methods used for this investigation were the quantitative and qualitative methods. Two phases were developed for the data collection, the first one was bibliographical material about prior studies of anglicisms; the second phase was gathering anglicisms found in the Ecuadorian magazines which were classified and tabulated according to the variable , frequency use, and types of anglicisms. Regarding the results, the variable with more anglicisms was the general interest magazines with 46, 29% of the total anglicisms because this type of magazine broadcasts anglicisms constantly to be updated with the globalized world to get more costumers.
