“Estudio sobre el espacio público de juego en el parque de los ceibos desde la perspectiva de los niños, niñas y cuidadores”

Abstract:

The objective of this research was to describe the use of public play spaces from the perspective of children and caregivers in the Los Ceibos park. The focus of the study was qualitative, which allowed an approach to the analysis units in order to explore how their experiences in said park have been through surveys and a participatory workshop. There was the participation of boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 9 who visited the park with their caregivers. The results show that, in general, satisfaction is shown by these visitors to the park, since it has many games, green areas, and trees for shade, which makes it an ideal space to share with nature; Despite this, there are certain aspects in which the participants want the park to improve. The participation of boys and girls was achieved with techniques that included verbal and graphic expression, allowing creativity and imagination, and protective and risk factors were established according to the perspective of the participants.
