“Estudio sobre el espacio público de juego en varios sectores de Guayaquil desde la percepción de los niños, niñas y cuidadores: parque samanes 2022”
Abstract:
The present work consists of describing the use of public playground spaces in different sectors of Guayaquil, specifically in Parque Samanes from the perspective of boys and girls, in child participation processes. This work is justified by its social relevance by addressing a topic that has been little explored from the perspective of child development and well-being, which includes early childhood children and their caregivers as key agents for such development. Methodologically, the study was approached from a qualitative approach with a descriptive exploratory scope in order to carry out a more complete investigation. In the field research, children up to 8 years of age who go to public spaces and the caregivers who accompany them participated , the same to whom surveys and a participatory workshop were applied to find out their perceptions about the public playground of the Samanes Park. Based on the results and the conclusions reached, the importance of involving boys and girls in participation processes is demonstrated in order to meet their own needs and desires related to the public play space and its surroundings.
