Apoyo a la enseñanza de la multiplicación por medio de un ambiente de aprendizaje mediático en la Educación General Básica.


Abstract:

This research arises from an intervention process carried out during the course of pre-professional practices within the Unidad Educativa La Inmaculada of the city of Cuenca, with students in 5th and 6th grade EGB. Failures were identified in the understanding of multiplication and in the low percentage of skills acquired, which gave rise to the program "support for the teaching of multiplication through an environment of media learning in basic general education." The objective of the research is to propose a media learning environment for the consolidation of multiplication learning in middle-level students, through learning based on games, physical and digital resources and student media preferences. The research has a qualitative approach using the Participatory Action Research (IAP) methodology. The instruments to be used are of the qualitative type, in the first stage of diagnosis they were used: pre test, participant observation, student survey and in a second closing moment it was used: post test, focus group with students and interviews with teachers. As a general result, it was obtained that the students feel an element like theirs, in this case the learning environment, they leave aside fears and participation arises around their learning preferences; This responds to the fact that the use of media features stimulates dialogue and the construction of more efficient learning situations towards the study of multiplication.
