COLLABORATIVE CLASSROOM WORK IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS OF GEOGRAPHY


Abstract:

This work aims to analyze the importance of collaborative work in the classroom for the teaching-learning process of Geo-graphy; consequently, a descriptive study of the bibliographic review type was developed, based on scientific research methods: hermeneutics, documentary analysis and content analysis. Among the findings are: collaborative work as an active method for teaching and learning Geography; through which the direct and active participation of students is encouraged in the construction of essential knowledge to learn about the various characteristics and transformations that have occurred on Earth. This method is based on the principles: teamwork and socialization, activity, experiential, playful, globalization, crea-tivity, individualization, personalization and normalization. Collaborative strategies must meet the following standards: teams made up of few students and with a certain degree of heterogeneity, individual success linked to the success of the group, good organization and shared responsibility.
