ICT and teacher education in basic education: Technical University of Machala-Case study


Abstract:

The technological presence is a fact in the professional formation, context where this quantitative-qualitative study is inscribed, with the objective of characterizing the process of implementation of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teacher training for Basic Education at the Technical University of Machala (UTMach); systematized by the methods: analytical-synthetic, statistical and data triangulation; as well as the techniques of the questionnaire and interview in depth. The results show a tendency towards a good didactic-methodological preparation and transversality in the use of ICT; process no exempt from limitations in technological preparation and infrastructure.
