Learning-service. Methodology for the development of integral competences in higher education


Abstract:

This article aims to propose curricular guidelines for the development of comprehensive competences at the level of higher education from service-learning methodology. The methodology was qualitative and documentary design, using content analysis as a technique. As a result, it was possible to generate curriculum guidelines, aspiring to be a support guide for curriculum development in the Ecuadorian higher education consolidating professional profiles whose fundamental inputs are social relevance, quality, interdisciplinarity and integrality. In conclusion, the service-learning methodology and the competence approach are presented as an opportunity for the formation of man as transcendent and social being, in relation to itself and the world.
