The teaching of history a key tool for the construction of national identity
Abstract:
This article responds to a bibliographical review study, which has the purpose of analyzing the theoretical foundations of the construction of national identity from the teaching of History. It is based on the methods of content, hermeneutical, exegetical and logical historical analysis. Among the main findings are the contribution of History to the promotion of a sense of belonging to the construction of the collective memory of the nation and to the development of identity values as a tribute to the construction of the national identity of Ecuadorians.
